Michael’s Story
Michael Walsh is the Co-Founder of Cariloop and currently serves as the company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Michael graduated from Purdue University in 2007 with a BS in Industrial Management and spent the first 4 years of his career at Protiviti where his client work focused on health systems, outpatient clinics, and behavioral health programs. After moving to Dallas in 2011 to help get Cariloop off the ground, Michael was part of the first class of the Health Wildcatters Accelerator program in 2013 and has gone on to be recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine (Entrepreneur 360 in 2017, 2018, and 2019), TexChange (One to Watch), Dallas Business Journal (Who’s Who in Healthcare), D Healthcare Daily (Excellence in Healthcare awards), Aging 2.0 (Global Startup Search semi-finalist), Tech.co (Startup of the Year semi-finalist) Becker’s Hospital Review (Healthcare Entrepreneurs to Know), and the Minnesota Health Action Group (2018 Innovation Showcase winner).
Michael is extremely passionate about personal fitness and enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Michael currently lives in Plano, Texas with his wife Melanie and their two dogs, Izzy and Bailey.
