Lauren joined Cariloop as a Care Coach in January 2020. Lauren’s caregiving journey began when both of her grandmothers had Alzheimer’s. After graduating from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Lauren combined her passions for art and caregiving and began her career in Long Term Care as an Activities Director. For 12 years she served as Executive Director for an award-winning Adult Day Center which led her to manage an Assisted Living (Memory Care) Home. Lauren has facilitated caregiver support groups through the Alzheimer’s Association for more than 10 years. She believes her passions led her to her purpose of serving others.
Lauren and her husband Mike enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, and attending car shows together. Lauren’s favorite place is her family’s farm where they enjoy family traditions and creating memories with their children. She is proud momma to two boys, Luke and Shane and two rescue pups, Mabel (Plott hound mix) and Finley (“labra-dud”).
