Cariloop Joins Forces with the American Association of Caregiving Youth to Support Students Balancing Caregiving Responsibilities

Cariloop, the Caregiver Support company that pairs caregivers and their families with dedicated Care Coaches as they plan for and manage the health and well-being of their loved ones, announced it is partnering with the American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) to provide support and resources for the organization to further its mission.

In the U.S., there are more than 5.4 million Caregiving Youth, who are assisting chronically ill, injured, elderly or disabled family members. Founded in 1998, what has evolved to become AACY, the organization champions these young caregivers, supporting their role as providers of care as well as safeguarding and celebrating their success in school and life.

“The needs of family caregivers have been long overlooked by the healthcare industry, but the needs of those caregivers who are young and still in school are substantial and can be even more neglected,” said Elizabeth Keeler, Impact Manager at Cariloop. “We are honored to partner with AACY to amplify its efforts and provide the organization and staff members with additional resources to support Caregiving Youth and their families.”

In addition to donating caregiver support for AACY staff members and related parties who are balancing caregiving responsibilities themselves, Cariloop is sponsoring AACY’s “Hearts and Soles” Gala this October 14th. The two organizations will also be joining together to bring awareness to the unique challenges that Caregiving Youth face.

“By partnering with organizations like Cariloop who can help our team support these student caregivers and their families we are helping to take a few things off of their plate so these youth can engage in educational and fun activities and have time to enjoy being a kid a bit more,” said Dr. Connie Siskowski, founder and president of AACY.

This partnership is part of Cariloop’s commitment to giving back to its communities as a Public Benefit Corporation and certified B Corporation. For more information on Cariloop’s commitment to operating as a force for good, visit cariloop.com/our-values.
